Job Summary:
Coach Mercer LLC is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic After School Sports Coaches to lead soccer, golf, or tennis programs for elementary school students in Houston, TX. As a Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in promoting a positive and safe sporting experience for students, teaching individual and team game skills, sportsmanship, and fair play. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a fun and safe sporting experience for assigned groups of students
- Teach individual and team game skills, sportsmanship, and fair play
- Be responsible for all equipment and manage student-coach ratios of 12:1
- Develop positive relationships with students and communicate effectively with Site Directors/Program Directors
- Demonstrate proper movements, monitor student form, and offer corrections as needed
- Utilize interactive platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet) for virtual coaching
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Pass a background check and obtain a Child Care License
- 1+ year of coaching experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to perform aerobic activities for extended periods
- Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Access to a device with internet access and interactive platforms
- Availability from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, Mondays-Fridays
- Dependable with transportation to assigned schools
- Ability to work independently without supervision
