American Express seeks a
Manager, Risk Management to develop business strategies and risk management solutions using consumer or business bureau data. This role involves:
- Analyzing structured and unstructured data using statistical, financial, machine learning, or business intelligence techniques.
- Collaborating with technology and other teams to implement risk management policies and business strategies.
- Identifying and evaluating new data sources (regulated and unregulated) to enhance the efficiency of American Express products and services.
- Applying industry best practices and incorporating regulatory feedback to continuously improve risk management strategies.
Qualifications
Education: - A graduate degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of experience in each of the following:
- Risk management and cost-benefit analysis.
- Communicating complex analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration with technical, analytical, business, and non-technical teams.
- Business process improvement, project management, and driving organizational change.
- Using MS Excel for financial and data reporting/modeling.
- Proficiency in tools such as Databricks, Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Teradata, Unix, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Work Arrangements: - Flexible hybrid work option, with up to 3 days remote work per week.
