We’re building an iOS mobile app featuring “mystery boxes” where users can purchase credits to open boxes, receive a revealed Pokémon-card NFT, and optionally redeem it for physical shipment. We need an expert to help us design a compliant product flow that passes App Store Review while minimizing Apple’s 30% commission exposure.
Goals:
– Validate whether selling in-app “credits” for mystery boxes is allowed and how to structure this to avoid/limit Apple’s 30% fee.
Design compliant flows for:
– Purchasing credits (IAP vs. external purchase)
– Viewing/holding NFTs (non-custodial vs. custodial options)
– Opening mystery boxes and revealing NFTs
– Redeeming NFTs for physical goods shipment
– Secondary trading (if applicable) and any fee implications
Map our product to the relevant App Store Review Guidelines (especially 3.1 Payments, 3.1.1 In‑App Purchase, 3.1.3(a) Reader, 3.1.3(b) Multiplatform, 3.1.5(a) Goods and Services Outside the App, 4.7 NFTs, loot boxes/gacha rules, etc.).
Propose compliant UX copy and technical architecture to pass review (what can/can’t be shown, deep links, sign-in flow, account-based entitlements, web flows).
Risk assessment and fallback plans if Apple flags gambling/lottery concerns (age gating, disclosures, probabilities, country restrictions).
Tax/VAT implications and storefront geofencing recommendations.
Submission strategy and a checklist for TestFlight/review notes.
