Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer

Tired of the Grind? Rediscover Your Passion for Accounting with Us.

Are you an experienced bookkeeping or tax professional who is tired of the traditional office grind? Do you find yourself battling office politics, dealing with difficult clients, and counting down the hours of another grueling tax season?

What if you could use your valuable skills in a different way?

We are a modern, forward-thinking firm that works with a select group of premium clients. We believe in building a supportive, collaborative team of hardworking, Midwest-based professionals. We’re not looking to fill a seat; we’re looking to partner with the right person who wants to escape the “wage slave” mentality and find a fulfilling role that respects their experience and their life outside of work.

This isn’t your typical J-O-B. This is a destination.

What This Opportunity Offers:
• True Flexibility: We are building a part-time workforce. Whether you’re a stay-at-home parent needing to work around school schedules, a seasoned professional or retiree looking to stay engaged without the full-time commitment, or someone simply seeking better work-life balance, we can create a schedule that works. Hours may start soft and grow as we do.
• Work From Home: Skip the commute and work from the comfort and security of your dedicated home office.
• A Premium Experience: You’ll work with a high-quality team and serve appreciative, premium clients who value our expertise. No more chasing down garbage clients.
• A Modern Mindset: We embrace technology, automation, and AI to work smarter, not harder. If you’re excited about the transformation happening in the accounting world, you’ll fit right in.

We’re Looking For a “Jack-of-all-Trades” Who Is:

A self-starter with a mix of bookkeeping, accounting, and tax knowledge. You can intelligently prepare work and review it yourself, taking ownership of your clients. You love putting the pieces of a financial puzzle together and have the heart of both a teacher and a student—always willing to learn and to help others.

Your responsibilities may include:
• Managing the full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
• Preparing and reviewing tax returns and estimates during peak seasons.
• Serving as a reliable, back-end resource who can dig into problems and find answers.
• Collaborating with our team to maintain our high standard of service.

The Must-Haves:

While we value mindset and experience over a rigid list of qualifications, there are a few requirements for this role:
• Residency: You must be a current resident of Wyoming or South Dakota. This is a non-negotiable requirement to facilitate occasional in-person team meetings.
• Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience is required. Tax preparation experience is a significant plus.
• Tech-Savviness: You are not afraid of technology and are comfortable learning and using modern accounting software and platforms.
• Environment: You have a secure, dedicated home office space with reliable high-speed internet.
• Passion: The desire to help small business startup and thrive

Is This You?

If you’re ready to leave the corporate world behind for a role that offers flexibility, respect, and the chance to work with a great team, we encourage you to apply. Let’s start a conversation.
