Job Summary:
As a Certified Bilingual Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching culturally responsive, rigorous, and language-scaffolded curriculum to multilingual learners. You will design and deliver coherent instruction, employing a variety of instructional techniques and technology to meet the unique needs of your students. You will also work collaboratively with other staff members to plan instructional goals, objectives, and methods, and participate in data-driven decision making to advocate for the needs of multilingual learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach 3rd-4th grade students with a focus on Spanish or ESL instruction
- Design and deliver culturally responsive and language-scaffolded curriculum
- Utilize technology to enhance instruction and engage students
- Collaborate with staff members to plan instructional goals and objectives
- Participate in data-driven decision making to advocate for multilingual learners
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and staff
Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License with Spanish or ESL endorsement preferred
- Experience teaching multilingual learners and designing culturally responsive curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Familiarity with Google and technology integration in the classroom
