Customs Trade Coordinator (2nd Shift) – Remote Opportunity

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, and internet resources
  • Process import-related documentation, including data entry and submission to US Customs and participating Government Agencies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements
  • Adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
  • Collaborate with internal staff, departments, and customers to deliver high levels of service
  • Process agency brokerage shipments and remote filings
  • Ensure compliance with government and organizational policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 6 months of work experience (no industry experience required)
  • Data entry and keyboard experience required
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle high-volume work
  • Must be located within 50 miles of our facility in Anchorage, AK

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with data entry, information processing, and airline shipments
  • Experience in International Trade, Customs Trade Agent, or Brokerage
