Join Grant Thornton as a Cybersecurity and Privacy Intern to support diverse projects in cybersecurity strategy, privacy compliance, and incident management.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
• Work closely with the Cybersecurity & Privacy team on all phases of the engagement lifecycle including planning, engagement management, and project wrap-up.
• Contribute to projects such as Cyber Strategy and Program Design, Business Strategy and Cyber Strategy Alignment, AI in Cybersecurity & Privacy, Privacy Compliance Program, Cookie and Consent Management, Data Protection, Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management, Cyber Threat Monitoring, Cyber Incident Management, Cyber War Gaming, and Ethical Hacking.
• Actively contribute to business growth by identifying business development opportunities, participating in marketing and brand initiatives, and assisting with the development of Grant Thornton thought leadership.
About You
The company is looking for candidates with the following skills and qualifications:
• Minimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 preferred.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Strong business and technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in learning client business to solve problems effectively.
• Ability to bridge business strategy, technology, and Cybersecurity & Privacy compliance requirements.
• Effective time management skills for handling multiple priorities and projects.
• Enthusiasm for learning through structured, on-the-job, and self-directed training.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; no visa sponsorship available.
Compensation & Benefits
• Interns are eligible to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance programs and the employee assistance program.
• Minimum of 72 hours of paid sick leave.
• Paid for firm holidays that fall within the internship period.
• Grant Thornton employees may be eligible for discretionary annual bonuses based on individual and firm performance; interns are not eligible for bonus compensation.
Training & Development
Interns will learn through a combination of structured, on-the-job, and self-directed training, gaining experience across diverse cybersecurity and privacy projects.
