What You Will Be Doing
Your Championship Playbook:
• Ignite the day with high-energy morning sessions that set the tone for excellence
• Coach the whole athlete through powerful 1:1 mentoring sessions that bridge sports and academics
• Design and deliver dynamic life skills workshops that transform athletic principles into life lessons
• Lead intensive afternoon training sessions that forge mental toughness and team synergy
• Champion student growth through strategic goal-setting and performance tracking
What You Won’t Be Doing
This Role is NOT About:
• Traditional classroom instruction or academic teaching
• Being a passive observer – you’re in the game, not watching from the bench
• Running directionless training sessions without purpose
• Getting bogged down in paperwork or academic grading
• Casual sports instruction for recreational athletes
Elite Sports Mentor Key Responsibilities
Your mission is to harness the transformative power of elite athletics to cultivate excellence in young student-athletes. Through daily engagement, you’ll leverage your championship mindset to foster academic achievement, personal growth, and character development, creating tomorrow’s leaders through the lens of high-performance sport.
Basic Requirements
• Elite Athletic Achievement: Must have competed at the highest levels (Olympic Games, World Championships, Major League Professional Sports – NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NHL, or achieved NCAA Division I All-American status)
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (any field)
• Mentorship Track Record: Demonstrated success in using athletics as a platform for personal development coaching
• Leadership Impact: Proven ability to inspire and motivate others in athletic, academic, or professional environments
• Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
