Job Summary:

The EMS Lead Instructor will be responsible for:

  • Developing and revising course content and curriculum to meet national standards and current evidence-informed practice
  • Coordinating programs and courses, including planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Presentation of lecture content and supervision of skill labs
  • Maintaining accurate records and files of courses, students, and programs
  • Evaluating student progress and providing feedback and counseling
  • Participating in item development, revision, and analysis to meet accreditation standards
  • Maintaining contact with clinical affiliation sites and preceptors
  • Supervising students in clinical areas and providing limited tutoring as requested

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • AHA BLS Instructor, AHA ACLS Instructor, PHTLS or ITLS Instructor, and Instructor of either PALS or PEPP or EPC certifications
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a field/clinical setting as a Paramedic or emergency nurse
  • Documented teaching experience and experience in supervision of instructional staff preferred
  • Certified Paramedic or Licensed Registered Nurse, NREMT certification preferred
  • Current certification/licensure in the Program state
