Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level IT Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in information technology, providing essential technical support and assistance to our users. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting software and hardware issues, managing computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
Duties
• Provide technical support to end-users via help desk services, addressing issues related to software troubleshooting, desktop support, and IT infrastructure.
• Assist in the management of computer hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems such as Windows and macOS.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including VPN access, firewall configurations, and TCP/IP settings.
• Utilize tools such as SCCM for software distribution and Active Directory for user account management.
• Conduct analysis of system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Support mobile devices and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
• Maintain documentation of technical procedures and user guides using platforms like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with team members on network administration tasks, including DNS configuration and LAN management.
• Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer management principles.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and desktop environments (Windows OS).
• Excellent communication skills to interact with users at all levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
