Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing a qualified and passionate ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) Teacher for a full-time role with school districts in the Atlanta, GA area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team dedicated to helping students from diverse linguistic backgrounds achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement lesson plans that address the English language development needs of students who are English Language Learners (ELLs).
• Provide direct instruction to ELL students in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, using strategies that support language acquisition and academic growth.
• Assess students’ language proficiency and academic progress regularly, using data to inform and adjust instructional practices.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support ELL students in mainstream classrooms, ensuring that content is accessible and comprehensible.
• Provide training and support to staff on best practices for working with ELL students.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and ways to support language development at home.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, including documentation required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in school-based teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or other plans as needed for ELL students.

Qualifications:
• Must hold a valid Georgia teaching certificate in ESOL or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
• Previous experience teaching ELL students in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of language acquisition theory and best practices in ESOL instruction.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
