Purpose of the Job

The Operational Excellence team plays a vital role in driving process efficiency, financial strength, operational performance, and the success of strategic imperatives across the organization. As an Execution Manager, you will support the Operations Excellence team in driving various initiatives across the entire value stream of the organization. You will work closely with business partners to understand their needs and challenges, develop and implement solutions, and provide support and guidance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with operational managers and technical leads to deliver mission capability, identify and resolve issues, and continually improve performance.
  • Define objectives, identify and prioritize opportunities, develop approach/schedule and process to track/monitor progress.
  • Serve as a “change agent,” constantly challenging conventional thinking, approach, and current business methods.
  • Utilize knowledge and understanding of Healthcare payor industry business models and core processes to drive solutions.
  • Solve complex system and operational problems with results-driven solutions.
  • Identify problems and research alternatives through testing and consulting with peers.
  • Design and implement integration solutions across a wide range of business domains, along with consultative experience to develop long-term implementation roadmaps.
  • Deliver complex re-engineering and simplification/standardization/optimization of identified global cross-functional processes as directed.
  • Conduct and participate in design walkthroughs with architects, designers, developers, and possibly providers.
  • Ensure the quality of one’s own and/or a project team’s deliverables through adherence to project standards and methodologies.
  • Manage integrated project plans across programs to ensure consistency and oversee delivery of activities.
  • Partner with Continuous Improvement teams to establish standards for future state workflows.
  • Create key performance indicators and management reports that transparently show and monitor improvement and performance.
  • Identify issues by thoroughly examining and exploring demands to reduce operational and service costs.
  • Quickly identify operational inefficiencies and deliver against plans to improve operations.
  • Leverage feedback from field and customer, build quantified, substantiated cases to drive upstream process improvements.
  • Be an active and supportive team member in an environment of inclusion, open discussion, and results-driven collaboration.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, assisting with the development of external communications related to all assigned projects.
  • Establish and meet short- and long-term department goals in accordance with overall company objectives and divisional strategic planning.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading/managing technical and business projects, business analysis, systems applications, and/or operations.
  • 6+ years of experience in project management.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare or a similar field, developing business plans and customer specifications.
  • 3+ years of Agile experience.
  • 3+ years of experience at a Healthcare payor in 2 or more business domains (Claims, Enrollment, Billing, Finance, Configuration, EDI, and/or Fulfillment).
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • High-School Diploma or GED in a general field of study.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience leading/managing technical and business projects, business analysis, systems applications, and/or operations.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management.
  • 5+ years of Agile experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science, mathematics, or statistics field of study.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Change Management Certification.

  • Proficient in using Excel.

Preferred Job Skills

  • Intermediate programming language and operating systems.
  • Expert-level experience in Excel.
  • SharePoint experience.
  • Background in creating documentation.
