**About Assets Protection**
Our Assets Protection (AP) teams are dedicated to keeping our guests, team members, and brand safe and secure. As an Executive Team Leader, Assets Protection, you will be responsible for leading a team of AP professionals in creating a safe and secure culture, identifying and resolving shortage risks, and preventing and investigating theft and fraud. You will work closely with store leaders and teams to develop and implement strategic AP strategies and goals, driving results through your team and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our guests.
**Key Responsibilities**
As an Executive Team Leader, Assets Protection, your typical day will involve:
* Driving total store sales and increasing profitability by ensuring product is in stock and available to our guests
* Managing, influencing, and validating a safe and secure culture by driving physical security and safety processes; leading store response and emergency crisis situations and creating plans for in-store events
* Educating store leaders and teams on emergency preparedness and physical security procedures
* Identifying shortage risks in key divisions and developing a strategy and tactics that will reduce shortage and drive profitable sales
* Acting as a key resource for company initiatives for AP team leaders in your district/market
* Leading investigative and verbal de-escalation classroom trainings; facilitating other trainings as needed for your AP team, store, or district
* Maintaining all required training
* Managing the identification and resolution of internal investigations; completing internal interviews for your store and nearby stores at the discretion of your leader
* Anticipating and identifying theft and shortage trends in your store and developing proactive strategies to prevent shortage and theft
* Determining operational shortage priorities; educating and influencing store teams on these priorities
* Managing the prevention, identification, and resolution of external theft incidents and investigations
* Working a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs based on safe and secure and theft patterns (this includes early morning/overnight shifts, evening, and weekends)
* Building partnerships to identify market trends and competition strategies; leveraging guest insights and feedback to drive the business and be the destination of choice for our guests
* Building a close partnership with Store Director
* Developing, scheduling, and deploying resources based on safe and secure and theft trends
* Planning, leading, and following up on organizational and operational change
* Establishing a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management
* Anticipating staffing needs, talent planning, and recruiting – both long and short term
* Supporting the onboarding and development of AP Team Leaders in your district/market
* Developing, coaching, and leading your team members and Team Leaders (if applicable) to elevate their skills and expertise
* Creating, communicating, influencing, and educating AP priorities (including shortage priorities) to your team, peers, and store teams
* Creating and modeling the safety culture in store by recognizing safe behaviors and identifying and resolving safety hazards and unsafe behaviors; investigating injuries that occur to determine root cause and resolving through appropriate action plans and partnerships
* Acting as first responder for in-store incidents (e.g., security, weather, etc.)
* Providing service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest
* Demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
