About the Role
We’re urgently hiring experienced registered nurses to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a ShiftMed RN, you’ll have the opportunity to work in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate and skilled nurse who can demonstrate clinical judgment within an evidence-based practice, collaborate with other healthcare staff to improve patient outcomes, and deliver care that meets the unique faith and cultural needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities
As a ShiftMed registered nurse, you’ll be responsible for:
- Ongoing patient assessment and observation to ensure optimum health levels.
- Administering and recording medications per facility policy and procedures.
- Transcribing and implementing written, verbal, and electronic physician orders.
- Delegating appropriate tasks to nurse aides and ensuring proper care delivery.
- Supervising clinical operations for nursing and clinical care activities.
- Performing assessment data collection in an ongoing, systemic manner.
- Reviewing and evaluating data collected by other healthcare professionals.
- Developing care plans that prescribe nursing actions to achieve patient goals.
- Identifying patient/family learning needs and implementing appropriate processes.
- Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication.
- Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ongoing flexibility regarding patient assignments, floating, and related staffing issues.
- Promoting a positive work environment and demonstrating a positive attitude.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- An active, unencumbered RN license from the state in which you plan to work.
- A minimum of 1-year experience of RN work experience in acute care settings.
- The ability to push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 80 pounds.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking.
- Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support).
- Annual physical.
- Negative TB test results.
- A clean background check.
- COVID-19 Vaccination (as per CMS and local Department of Health guidance).

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility regarding scheduling and patient assignments.
