Job Title: Financial Analyst
Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and driven Analyst to join our finance team. The Analyst will be responsible for budgeting and monthly analysis of financials. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Prepare a weekly Cash Projection
Budgeting
Preparation of Budget
Preparation of a rolling 18-month Forecast
Loading the budgets and forecasts in our accounting software
Create Comparison reports in our accounting software against budget and forecast
Monthly comparison of P&L to Forecast and Budget
Dig into critical variances for comments on the financials
Analyze profitability of markets
Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential financial risks.
Collections
Supervise our collections specialist
Prepare reports for the collections specialist
Run the collections meeting with our field operations
Collections software admin
Cash
Supervise our cash accountant
Fill out forms to set up customers on ACH
Take Credit Card payments in Square
Accounts Payable
Review posted invoices in our accounts payable system
Ensure proper GL coding for invoices
Review historical payments last 18 months to insure our accruals are correct
Vendor Reconciliations
A/P check run
Prepare and file tax returns (income tax, sales tax, etc.) accurately and on time
Assist with internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial goals are met
Provide support to finance team members as needed
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and examine financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
Analysis experience (2-5 years)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP).
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (experience with ERP systems a plus).
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with financial software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks).
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
