Sound Technician – Full-Day Filming Event
Location: Algoa Correctional Center, Jefferson City, MO
Date: August 6, 2025 (Full day; exact call time TBD)
We are seeking an experienced Sound Technician for a one-day filming event at Algoa Correctional Center during the 2025 Prison Leadership Conference, hosted by Our Daily Bread Ministries. This special event brings together incarcerated individuals, corrections staff, and outside guests for a powerful day of leadership development and storytelling.
Responsibilities:
1. Capture high-quality audio throughout the full day of filming
2. Operate and mix multiple audio channels using a field mixer
3. Coordinate microphone placement and sound coverage in an active and sensitive environment
4. Work closely with the video team to ensure sound is clean and synced with visuals
Required Equipment:
(Ideal applicants should be able to bring:)
– 4x wireless lavaliers
– 2x boom microphones
– 2x boom poles
– 2x C-stands
(Note: We can assist with rentals for some items if needed—please clarify in your application.)
Qualifications
1. Experience with documentary or on-location event audio recording
2. Ability to manage multiple audio sources and outputs
3. Professionalism and discretion in a secure correctional facility setting
4. Must be willing to undergo a background check (required for access to Algoa Correctional Center)

Context of the Event:
The 2025 Prison Leadership Conference is a full-day experience created by and for incarcerated individuals. Spearheaded by Our Daily Bread Ministries and its Director of Prison Ministries, Bo Cornelius, the event will feature content from the Global Leadership Academy (GLA) and focus on shared learning between residents, corrections professionals, and invited guests.
