Role Overview:
As the Solutions Expert, you’ll be responsible for analyzing customers’ QuickBooks processes, and partnering with our product and engineering team to plan, implement and optimize solutions for a seamless integration with Upwell’s software ecosystem. We’re seeking a finance expert who combines deep QuickBooks expertise with logistics industry knowledge to help streamline our customers’ financial operations and reporting processes. You’ll work directly with customers to understand their unique financial workflows as well as the product and engineering team to configure solutions that drive efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
QuickBooks Implementation and Optimization:
Design and implement QuickBooks configurations tailored to logistics industry requirements
Develop custom workflows and automations to streamline financial processes and integrations
Customer Success:
Lead QuickBooks training internally for customer and product alignment
Provide ongoing consultation on best practices for logistics financial management
Troubleshoot complex accounting issues and provide strategic solutions
System Integration:
Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth data flow between QuickBooks and Upwell’s platform
Design and validate financial data mapping processes
Establish quality control procedures for data accuracy
Industry Expertise:
Apply logistics-specific accounting knowledge to customer solutions
Stay current with industry regulations and accounting requirements
Develop standardized solutions for common logistics accounting challenges
Qualifications:
Experience:
5+ years of QuickBooks administration and implementation experience
3+ years of accounting or finance experience in logistics, freight, or transportation
Proven track record of managing complex financial systems and processes
Technical Skills:
Advanced QuickBooks certification required
Expert knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and Online platforms
Hands on experience troubleshooting QB Desktop Web Connector
Experience with logistics-specific accounting processes (freight billing, carrier payments, etc.)
Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting tools
Experience with Aljex TMS is not required, but a plus
Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding of logistics and transportation financial operations
Familiarity with industry-specific accounting requirements and best practices
Experience with TMS (Transportation Management System) platforms a plus
Soft Skills:
Strong project management and organizational abilities
Excellence in customer communication and relationship building
Ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Professional accounting certifications preferred
