Our team is dedicated to providing patient-centered care, and we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our Diagnostic Radiology team. As an Imaging Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties, including assisting with patient care, preparing scan rooms, and supporting our technologists during exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient care, including changing patients, reviewing patient safety questionnaires, and preparing patients for exams
- Support our technologists during exams, including setting up scan rooms, placing patients on the table, and attaching necessary coils and/or head holders
- Assist with starting IVs and administering contrast injections
- Respond to emergency situations, such as contrast reactions and CPRs
- Verify patient lab values, document patient exam information, and create CDs for patients
- Participate in patient final verification and assist with supply ordering, stocking, and monitoring
- Clean and maintain scan rooms and holding rooms, and assist with the transportation of patients to and from the scan room
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of relevant experience, including 2 years of patient care experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, with American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) preferred
