Japanese-Speaking Researcher Needed for Transportation Partner Search in Hokkaido

We are seeking a fluent Japanese-speaking researcher to help us identify and qualify transportation companies or sole operators in Hokkaido who can partner with our adventure travel business to provide van driving and transport services during the winter season (mid-December to mid-March).

We are especially interested in companies that are open to seasonal contracts or even profit-sharing partnerships to build a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship.

What We’re Looking For:

You will research and compile a list of licensed, legally compliant transport providers (companies or individuals) who:

Operate in Otaru or nearby areas

Can provide drivers and/or vans during the ski season

Are experienced in tourism-related transport or group logistics

Are either:

Open to fixed-fee seasonal contracts, or

Interested in a revenue-share / profit-sharing model

Your Tasks:

Identify and list relevant providers

Contact them (email/phone/web) to:

Confirm they are licensed and compliant

Confirm availability for seasonal work

Ask if they are open to either fixed contracts or profit-sharing partnerships

Provide organized results in a spreadsheet/database with:

Name, contact details, website

Type of service (driver only, van + driver, etc.)

Area of operation

Contract preferences (fixed / profit-sharing / both)

Any relevant notes on flexibility, language, pricing, or experience

Deliverables:

A spreadsheet with at least 10–15 qualified providers

Short summary report of top recommendations

Skills Required:

Native or fluent in Japanese (spoken and written)

Strong internet research and outreach skills

Comfortable calling or emailing businesses in Japan

Basic understanding of tourism or transportation industries in Japan preferred

Bonus If You:

Are based in Hokkaido or familiar with the region

Have experience in the Japanese travel, hospitality, or logistics sectors

Can assist with ongoing outreach, onboarding, or contract discussions (optional, future work)

Why This Is Unique:

This project is part of a growing seasonal tourism brand that offers premium experiences to international guests.

We’re looking not just for a supplier—but for a potential long-term partner.

We’re open to either:

A straightforward contractor who provides services each winter

OR

A business-minded partner interested in sharing in the success of a growing adventure travel business
