As a Line Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of aircraft electrical and electronic systems, working closely with our Maintenance and Engineering (M&E) team to guarantee the airworthiness of our fleet. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft electrical and electronic systems, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
  • Comply with all internal Alaska Airlines policies and procedures, as well as regulatory workplace rules, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to attendance reliability policies and procedures.
  • Exercise the authority of an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)/FCC in signing the Aircraft Maintenance Log for Airworthiness Release or Return to Service of an aircraft or aircraft component.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience on commercial heavy stream aircraft and/or military aircraft.
  • Solid knowledge of aircraft systems.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs consistently.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, reach, and handle.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company procedures.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Valid FCC license or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • Must have a valid and operable driver’s license.
  • Flexible to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of aviation technician experience.
  • Experience using schematics and wiring charts.
