As a Line Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of aircraft electrical and electronic systems, working closely with our Maintenance and Engineering (M&E) team to guarantee the airworthiness of our fleet. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft electrical and electronic systems, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
- Comply with all internal Alaska Airlines policies and procedures, as well as regulatory workplace rules, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to attendance reliability policies and procedures.
- Exercise the authority of an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)/FCC in signing the Aircraft Maintenance Log for Airworthiness Release or Return to Service of an aircraft or aircraft component.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience on commercial heavy stream aircraft and/or military aircraft.
- Solid knowledge of aircraft systems.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs consistently.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, reach, and handle.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company procedures.
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Valid FCC license or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
- Must have a valid and operable driver’s license.
- Flexible to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of aviation technician experience.
- Experience using schematics and wiring charts.
