  • Duration: Full-time contractor role for up to 5 months

Your Role

As a Customer Success Associate on our Borrower Success Team, you’ll work directly with student loan borrowers to help them navigate our tools and enroll in federal forgiveness and repayment programs. With comprehensive training and hands-on experience, you’ll become an expert in the student loan landscape and serve as the first point of contact for our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand Summer’s product offerings and how they address borrowers’ needs
  • Engage with borrowers via email and live chat, providing exceptional support and guidance
  • Review and submit applications for federal loan programs
  • Proactively suggest and implement ideas and automations to scale the team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring user feedback to life and create new features and offerings
  • Work closely with the Borrower Success Team to achieve team and company growth goals

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for talented individuals with:

  • At least one year of relevant work experience in start-ups, finance, customer support, or government programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and master new skills and knowledge areas
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Passion for tackling complex social issues and making a positive impact
