Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Sport Clinic Coach to join our team at the Longmont YMCA. As a coach, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young athletes, teaching them introductory through intermediate skills, rules of play, and the Y Way to Play. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach introductory through intermediate skills, rules of play, and the Y Way to Play to youth athletes
- Assist in officiating, parent interaction, and ensuring clinics run smoothly and safely
- Organize and engage groups of children, breaking down skills and explaining them in a way that participants can understand and perform
- Communicate and work with a variety of people, including kids, staff, other host staff, and community members
Requirements:
- Age 16 years or older
- Significant involvement and understanding of the sport
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 30 days (we can help with this)
- Ability to organize and engage groups of children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
