Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Post Production Sound Engineer to join our team, with a strong background in audio support and a passion for delivering exceptional results. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-level technical support, troubleshoot issues, and develop relationships with stakeholders to drive success.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide front-line technical support for post-production facilities, resolving customer issues and escalating unresolved problems to internal teams
- Research, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues, identifying solutions and implementing fixes
- Perform system monitoring, verifying hardware, server resources, and system integrity, and reviewing system and application logs
- Manage workstation imaging and configuration using JAMF and Altiris, and document knowledge in the form of tech notes and articles
Basic Qualifications:
- Expertise in Avid Pro Tools, S6 consoles, Nexis storage, and signal routing
- Knowledge of storage systems, including Quantum, Isilon, and Avid
- Understanding of post-production workflows, including editing, audio mixing, VFX, motion graphics, and print
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to document problems and resolutions
- Proficiency in macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with reading technical drawings and documentation
- Understanding of room acoustical layout for stereo and 5.1 mixing, speaker SPL calibration, and room tuning
- Ability to prioritize decisions with incomplete or conflicting information and manage multiple concurrent challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering customer satisfaction
