As a skilled Audio Support Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in post-production tools to drive success in a fast-paced television broadcast environment. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to consult, train, and develop relationships with artists, creative directors, and management, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Post Production Sound Engineer to join our team, with a strong background in audio support and a passion for delivering exceptional results. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-level technical support, troubleshoot issues, and develop relationships with stakeholders to drive success.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide front-line technical support for post-production facilities, resolving customer issues and escalating unresolved problems to internal teams
  • Research, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues, identifying solutions and implementing fixes
  • Perform system monitoring, verifying hardware, server resources, and system integrity, and reviewing system and application logs
  • Manage workstation imaging and configuration using JAMF and Altiris, and document knowledge in the form of tech notes and articles

Basic Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Avid Pro Tools, S6 consoles, Nexis storage, and signal routing
  • Knowledge of storage systems, including Quantum, Isilon, and Avid
  • Understanding of post-production workflows, including editing, audio mixing, VFX, motion graphics, and print
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to document problems and resolutions
  • Proficiency in macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with reading technical drawings and documentation
  • Understanding of room acoustical layout for stereo and 5.1 mixing, speaker SPL calibration, and room tuning
  • Ability to prioritize decisions with incomplete or conflicting information and manage multiple concurrent challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering customer satisfaction
