Role and Responsibilities:
As a Local Delivery Associate, you will ensure prompt and secure delivery of mail and packages to residential and business addresses. You will be the face of USPS in the communities you serve, maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.
• Sort and organize mail and packages for assigned delivery routes
• Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
• Deliver mail and packages to homes, businesses, and PO Boxes
• Collect outgoing mail along assigned routes
• Ensure accuracy in deliveries and report address or delivery issues
• Follow all USPS policies and local traffic regulations
• Interact professionally with customers, answering inquiries as needed
Required Skills and Experience:
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Proficiency in using handheld scanning devices or delivery tracking tools
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or mail services
• Familiarity with local routes and neighborhoods
• Basic knowledge of USPS operations or procedures
