Role Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented
Online Writing Tutors / Paper Reviewers to provide personalized feedback on written assignments and conduct one-on-one or group lessons in English writing. If you have a passion for teaching, strong writing skills, and a desire to help students succeed, this role is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and Evaluate Writing Assignments:
- Provide constructive feedback on essays, research papers, and other academic assignments.
- Highlight strengths and areas for improvement, focusing on grammar, structure, clarity, and coherence.
- Deliver Personalized Lessons:
- Conduct live, interactive writing and English language lessons.
- Tailor lesson plans to students’ proficiency levels, learning goals, and assignment requirements.
- Teach Writing Fundamentals:
- Help students develop skills in grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and academic formatting (e.g., APA, MLA).
- Guide students through brainstorming, drafting, editing, and revising processes.
- Support Academic Success:
- Assist students in improving critical thinking and analytical writing skills.
- Offer strategies for effective time management and research techniques.
- Leverage Technology:
- Use online platforms and tools to deliver lessons and review assignments.
- Incorporate multimedia resources to create engaging learning experiences.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of English grammar, syntax, and composition.
- Familiarity with academic writing standards (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Writing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Teaching certification (e.g., TESOL, TEFL) is a plus.
- Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or paper reviewing (a plus).
