Package Consultant, IBM Corporation, San Francisco, CA (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted): * Evaluate client business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. * Develop and apply criteria to assess alternate solution options. * Present recommended solutions to client leaders and collaborate to reach final decisions. * Facilitate architecture decisions and prepare designs for solution implementation. * Collaborate with team members to estimate project activities. * Provide technical direction and problem solving leadership to implementation team members. * Ensure coding and configuration activities align with requirements and designs. * Lead development and quality assurance teams to ensure solutions meet intended designs and desired quality levels. * Act as a subject matter expert in electronic commerce applications, order management solutions, and omnichannel solutions, working closely with business and technical teams. * Mentor team members, foster skill development, encourage information sharing, and provide leadership within the practice. * Act as a Sterling Omnichannel/OMS Architect and work with business partners to design bestfit use cases using Sterling OMS capabilities. * Collaborate with other architects and business analysts to enhance Sterling OMS platform capabilities. * Deliver solutions for Sterling OMS, including configuration, administration, use of Sterling APIs, product extensions, and integrations. * Utilize: IBM Sterling Order Management, Java/J2EE, RESTful Webservices, XML (Extensible Markup Language), JAXB (Java Architecture for XML Binding), XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations), JMS (Java Message Service), JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), Oracle, DB2, Maven, Gradle and Agile. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Sterling OMS Architect or related.
