We are seeking an experienced and passionate Part-Time Faculty member to teach Health and Physical Education courses at our Detroit campus. As a Part-Time Faculty member in Health and Physical Education, you will have the opportunity to teach a range of courses, including Elementary Physical Education Curriculum and Instruction, Secondary Health Education Curriculum and Instruction, and Adapted Physical Activity for Children with Pediatric Disabilities. You will be part of a vibrant community of educators who are dedicated to creating a rich and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Health and Physical Education
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum
  • Mentor and support students in their academic and professional development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Health and/or Physical Education Teaching
  • Current or expired Health and/or Physical Education teaching license
  • Minimum of three years of industry experience or three years of teaching experience in higher education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of expertise and effectiveness in online instruction
  • Experience teaching in a higher education setting
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation
