Join our innovative Remote team as a Payments Administration & Contract Tracking Coordinator!
Netflix, a pioneer in entertainment services, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payments Administration & Contract Tracking Coordinator to support our Scripted Series for the US/Canada, UK, and Local Language Original verticals. As a key member of our Payments Administration & Contract Tracking (PACT) team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate payments to Above-The-Line (ATL) talent, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive success.
About the Role:
This highly cross-functional role requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success. You will work closely with the Business & Legal Affairs (BLA) team, Labor, Tax, Production, Creative, and Production Finance teams, as well as accounting teams to:
- Proactively review, evaluate, and execute contractual financial obligations of agreements and deal memos for ATL talent
- Prepare payment authorizations and payment schedules for ATL talent
- Track deadlines for ATL deals from development to reversion
- Draft and issue relevant notices, including extensions and option exercises
- Maintain accurate records and create reports for ATL talent payments and deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Proactively review, evaluate, and execute the contractual financial obligations of agreements and deal memos for ATL talent working domestically and internationally
- Prepare payment authorizations and payment schedules for ATL talent to facilitate timely and accurate payments
- Track deadlines for ATL deals from the development phase through reversion, including subsequent seasons, talent and rights option deadlines, and hold periods
- Draft and issue relevant notices, including extensions, option exercises, and report-to-work notices
- Create and maintain WGA tracking spreadsheets and liaise with script coordinators, internal creative, and our legal teams for episodic script reporting and step delivery notices
- Act as internal/external point-of-contact for payment and deadline-related questions
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in legal and/or business affairs at a television studio, production company or law firm, or experience in production payroll, production finance, or contracts and payments administration
- Well-versed in above-the-line union labor agreements (DGA, WGA, SAG-AFTRA, Local 399)
- Ability to read, understand and summarize legal contracts with an emphasis on deadline triggers
- Proficient with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar and Mail)
