Payroll Clerk (Fully Remote)

Responsibilities and duties…
• Prints, sorts, and distributes payroll checks for on-cycle and off-cycle check runs.
• Processes mail and ensures that payroll-requires supplies are maintained and always stocked.
• Assists with Employment Verifications.
• Creates salary sheets and reports.
• Assist in the Process of Weekly Payroll and submission.
• Provides answers to general payroll questions and addresses issues that may arise promptly.
• Assist with employees’ Time Off Request payouts/balances.
• Assist with retroactive payment calculation and payroll adjustment calculations.
• Assists in special projects as assigned by management.
• Ensures employee data is entered into the payroll system prior to payroll processing.
• Assists the Payroll Team by providing administrative and clerical support, answering telephones, and taking and distributing messages.
• Some knowledge of garnishments to complete answers and mail them out in a timely manner
• Strong work ethic, demonstrated by the consistent completion of assignments accurately and timely.
• Keen understanding of confidentiality; ability to manage sensitive information with tact and discretion.
Qualifications:
• An associate degree in business is preferred (or a related field)
• 1 year of experience managing payroll processes
• Experience handling PTO and administrative processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively plan, organize, and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with tact and discretion.
• Intermediate computer skills are required. (Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Experience with UltiPro or UKG is preferred.
