Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced analytics professional to help us **create new reports, enhance existing dashboards, and improve data integrity** across Power BI, Matomo, and GA4. This role will combine reporting, technical analytics implementation, and marketing data support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Reporting & Dashboard Development
– Build new Power BI dashboards, Matomo custom reports, and ad hoc analyses.
– Support initiatives such as:
– Paid media performance deep dives
– GA4 vs. sales revenue reconciliation
– Update and optimize existing dashboards with **new metrics, custom dimensions (e.g., marketingSource, marketingMedium), and improved visuals.
2. Data Investigation & Quality Assurance
– Analyze anomalies and dips in performance metrics (e.g., discrepancies between Power BI and GA4 organic traffic, or BI Sales vs. GA Shopper data).
– Validate tag firing, data layer integrity, pipeline jobs, and aggregation logic to uncover root causes.
3. Technical Analytics Implementation
– Enhance tagging and tracking, including expanding device type and regional tracking** for better segmentation.
4. Experimentation & Marketing Ops Support
– Assist with **Optimizely split test tracking** in Matomo and GA4.
– Adjust **paid media mapping and pacing dashboards**, including automating **weekly paid pacing reports** for leadership.
5. Advanced GA4 & Matomo Tracking
– Add and configure custom channel groups in GA4 (e.g., AI search traffic).
– Update **Matomo landing page URL grouping rules**.
– Handle nuances like:
– Excluding OptinMonster impressions
– Categorizing previously uncategorized landing pages
– Pushing form submission events from the data layer
Requirements
– Proven experience with Power BI, Matomo, and GA4
– Strong understanding of data pipelines, tagging, and tracking implementations
– Hands-on experience with marketing analytics (paid media, web traffic, conversions)
– Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and ensure reporting accuracy
– Experience with Optimizely or other A/B testing tools (a plus)

This will be an ongoing engagement with deliverables across reporting, troubleshooting, and implementation. We’re looking for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate closely with our marketing and analytics teams.
