About the position
Responsibilities
• Proofread assessments, instructional materials, promotional materials, surveys, and reports to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality control.
• Review materials in various revision stages: initial copy, post layout, and final production.
• Upload information to the assessment management system to generate assessments.
• Work closely with writers, editors, and designers to eliminate errors or inconsistencies, track changes, and confirm adherence to style guides.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
• Position is entry-level; experience in educational proofreading is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (e.g., OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint) as well as database software.
• Adept at comparison proofreading and identifying mechanics, usage, grammar, and spelling errors.
• Skilled in APA style and ensuring adherence to style guides.
• Ability to maintain consistent deadlines while ensuring accuracy across all projects and tasks.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in educational proofreading is preferred but not required.
