We are seeking an exceptional Accounting & HR Assistant to join our team on a remote basis, working closely with our Director of Finance & HR to handle financial tasks and support the organization’s mission.
Job Overview:
As an Accounting & HR Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of financial tasks, including:
- Accounts Payable: vendor maintenance, W9s, and other related tasks
- Ensuring scholarship payments are processed correctly and efficiently
- Accounts Receivable: invoicing, past due reports, collections, and processing receivables into Intacct
- Issuing donor tax acknowledgement paperwork and reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements
- Processing expense reports and reimbursements, and maintaining accurate records
- In-kind inventory control and distribution, as well as other duties as assigned
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or related field)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, with nonprofit experience highly desired
- Experience with accounting software, particularly Sage – Intacct, is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong finance, accounting, and bookkeeping skills, with ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
