We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Bookkeeper to join our team, providing expert financial management services to a diverse portfolio of optometry clients. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in managing financial operations, ensuring seamless bookkeeping and financial reporting processes, and driving business growth for our clients.

Position Overview:

  • Position: Full-time Remote Bookkeeper

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage bookkeeping and financial reporting processes for independent optometry practice owners
  • Collaborate with practice owners on financial decisions, including transaction coding, expense management, and equipment purchases
  • Reconcile accounts, ensure accurate monthly financial books, and maintain high-quality financial records
  • Support payroll processes, including payroll management, tax payments, and report filing
  • Provide exceptional client service to up to 60 optometry practices monthly, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of our bookkeeping services, providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in QuickBooks Online (mandatory)
  • Experience with payroll systems, such as QuickBooks Payroll, Gusto Payroll, ADP, and/or Paychex (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other functions
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, time management, decision-making abilities, and attention to detail
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced remote environment
  • Committed to collaboration, teamwork, and continuous learning
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (mandatory)
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping (preferred)
  • Familiarity with small business financial management (beneficial)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
