Remote Carbon Analyst & Script Writer – $32/Hour at Employelevate

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Carbon Analyst & Script Writer to join our team at Employelevate. As a key member of our Worldwide Maintainability and Consistence group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that we make the best choices for our members, employees, suppliers, investors, communities, and the environment. This is a remote, part-time position offering a competitive salary of $32/hour.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the entire Scope 3 carbon footprinting process, including data collection, analysis, and modeling.
  • Develop and maintain complex data analysis tools using Google Sheets, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all records for auditing and verification purposes.
  • Support report building and reporting in both formal and informal capacities.
  • Act as the organization’s expert on Scope 3 greenhouse gas accounting and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the wider Sustainability team to develop and implement a comprehensive carbon reporting program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, Sustainability, Energy Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in sustainability and carbon data management and reporting.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in data analysis and management tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
  • Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with MS Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience with various voluntary and mandatory reporting schemes and standards, such as CDP, EPEAT, RE100, and SBTi.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conscientious and highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Smartsheet, AS400, BPMS, and other Costco marketing systems.
  • 2-3 years of GHG reporting experience for Scope 3.
  • Visual Basic, Java, C++, or HTML coding skills are a plus.
  • LCA professional experience is an asset.
  • Positive, mature, and professional demeanor with strong organizational and time management skills.
