You will be working within the Cloud Advancements Application Stage (AP) group, a team dedicated to enhancing our designer experience platform and accelerating application development. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, applying your analytical skills to large datasets and contributing to solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across Apple. Key Responsibilities Data Integrity & Accuracy: Meticulously review and input data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency. This includes identifying and resolving data discrepancies. Data Validation & Quality Assurance: Employ data validation techniques to identify and rectify errors, anomalies, and inconsistencies within datasets. You'll be responsible for maintaining high data quality standards. Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyze data using quantitative programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and distributed storage systems (S3, Flash, Vector Databases) to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Model Preparation & Testing: Assist in the preparation of data for model training and testing, ensuring data is properly formatted and ready for use. AI/ML Support: Contribute to the application of AI and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms, including deep learning, statistical modeling, and large language models, to solve business problems. You'll be working with transformer architectures and vector embeddings. Data Storytelling & Communication: Present data findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll translate complex analytical results into understandable insights. Model Training & Optimization: Participate in the training and optimization of machine learning models, including hyperparameter tuning and iterative refinement. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data entry processes, workflows, and data quality measures. Collaboration & Teamwork: Work effectively with AI engineers, programmers, and other data scientists to deliver end-to-end AI-powered solutions. Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data processes, data sources, and analytical results. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred). Proven proficiency in quantitative programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL. Experience working with distributed storage systems (S3, Flash, Vector Databases). Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms, including deep learning, statistical modeling, and large language models. Solid understanding of transformer architectures, vector embeddings, and their application to business challenges. Demonstrated ability to ensure data quality through data analysis, handling missing values, identifying anomalies, and validating outcomes. Experience in selecting appropriate ML algorithms, training models, and tuning hyperparameters to achieve optimal performance. Experience with training and/or applying pre-built models, and retraining or fine-tuning them to meet specific needs. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience applying ML techniques to improve engineer productivity is a plus.
