About the Role:

The Audit Services Data Scientist Intern will collaborate with our Internal Audit team to analyze complex datasets, identify trends and anomalies, and develop predictive models to inform audit focus. You will create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders, support the automation of audit processes, and participate in audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases. Your work will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Audit Services function and help drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Internal Audit team to understand audit objectives and data requirements
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Assist in the development of predictive models to identify potential risks and areas for audit focus
  • Support the automation and streamlining of audit processes through the use of data analytics tools
  • Document code methodologies and processes for reproducibility and audit trail purposes
  • Participate in audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases, providing data-driven insights
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, such as compliance testing and fraud detection

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
