We are currently seeking a dedicated Remote Special Education Teacher to join our team on a contract basis. Position Overview: As a Remote Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs in a virtual setting. This role is perfect for educators who are passionate about making a difference and thrive in flexible, online environments. Key Responsibilities: • Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student IEPs. • Provide direct instruction and support to students in a virtual classroom. • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. • Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure effective communication and support. • Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with regulations. • Participate in virtual team meetings and professional development as required. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). • Valid Louisiana Special Education Teaching License. • Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a remote setting. • Strong communication, organizational, and technology skills. • Passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive online learning environment.
