NexaYouth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating young people about the vital connections between environmental sustainability and human health. We focus on empowering youth through accessible education and advocacy initiatives to create a healthier and more sustainable future.

Role Overview:

As a Youth Environmental Intern at NexaYouth, you will play a key role in promoting awareness and action on critical environmental issues. This internship is ideal for high school and undergraduate students passionate about environmental advocacy, public health, and education.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct research on environmental and health topics to create engaging content for NexaYouth’s platform.
• Assist in planning and executing advocacy campaigns, workshops, and community events.
• Develop educational resources that simplify complex environmental topics for youth audiences.
• Collaborate on social media strategies to raise awareness and drive engagement.
• Support partnership building with schools, organizations, and community groups.

Qualifications:
• High school or undergraduate student with a strong interest in environmental issues, public health, advocacy, or education.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in team settings.
• Experience with social media platforms or content creation is a plus but not required.
• Enthusiasm for empowering youth and creating meaningful change.

Time Commitment:
• Up to 8-10 hours per week.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate students’ academic commitments.
