The role:
General radiology with subspecialty skills welcomed—MSK and Breast preferred
Tracks: Employee and Partnership (1–2 years depending on experience).
Site mix: Hybrid onsite & home. (100% remote may be possible on the employee track for the right candidate.)
Practice scope: Basic community outpatient cases. No inpatient or ED coverage.
Case mix: US, XR, CT, MR, DEXA, occasional PET/CT.
Workload: Fixed-shift volumes for predictability & consistency.
Upside: Additional optional daily internal moonlighting with pay-per-click—productivity = substantially higher per-shift income if desired.
Schedule cadence:
Onsite (2–3×/week): 8:00 AM to last contrast injection (no later than 5 PM).
Home (2–3×/week): Flexible hours.
Weekends (from home): Flexible hours; typically every 6-7 weeks starting, with decreased weekends as a partner.
Support: Dedicated admin + IT.
Additional Breast Imaging Position Information
• Flexible tracks: Part-time employee and partnership options available.
• Modern breast imaging workflow:
• 3D screening + diagnostic mammograms performed across multiple outpatient sites, including a dedicated remote cancer center.
Diagnostic workups are remote and asynchronous, supported by standardized technologist protocols. Radiologists step in remotely as needed.
• Balanced caseload:
• Typical home-based day: ~100 mammograms (mixture of screening and diagnostic), intermixed in with several breast MRs
• A fully equipped home mammography workstation is provided.
• Procedure days:
• Conducted onsite at our Alvarado/La Mesa center.
• Offerings include US-, stereotactic-, and MRI-guided breast biopsies.
• Typical procedure volume: 3-4 breast biopsies with 3-4 arthrograms/HSGs
• Additional case mixture of 40-50 mammo studies or general work
Compensation & benefits
• Starting salary: $450K–$650K
• Partner total compensation: >$750k
• Signing bonus: $35K
• Vacation: 10 weeks starting
• CME: $5,000/year
