Saturday Teaching Aide (Temporary/Hourly)

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Saturday Teaching Aide to join our team at the University of Washington’s Robinson Center for Young Scholars. As a temporary, hourly teaching aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our Saturday programming during the 2023-24 academic year, working with students in grades K-8 to provide intellectually ambitious and fun learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate small group conversations with students and participate in classroom activities
  • Assist instructors with daily set up and break down of classrooms and supplies
  • Document student work and perform experiments or classroom demonstrations as needed
  • Escort students between campus locations during class change and monitor student safety
  • Record hours bi-monthly in Workday and perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Ability to attend all class sessions and trainings/orientations
  • Must be at least 15 years of age at the start of the program
  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with youth in an educational setting
