We’re looking for a talented and experienced artist who can develop character art for style guides and portfolios across multiple properties and divisions, generate ideas for franchise expansion, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in the marketplace. If you’re a fresh and inventive creative thinker with a strong understanding of Disney characters and storytelling, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Develop character art for style guides and portfolios across multiple properties and divisions
- Generate ideas for franchise expansion and contribute to new product ideas
- Attend key shows and exhibitions to stay current with marketplace trends and product development techniques
- Maintain high character art standards and develop a strong character art community across Global Product Creation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring Disney characters and stories to life in innovative and engaging ways
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, character art illustration, or merchandise design
- 2+ years of related work experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your artistic skills and style
- Extensive knowledge of character art, cartooning, and cartoon animation principles
- Strong traditional and digital drawing skills, as well as concepting and creative computer skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Creative Suite, Keynote)
- Pro-active and can-do attitude, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
