We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior GIS Analyst to join our team. As an analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving our enterprise GIS technology stack and supporting GIS workflow development to support our team’s geospatial initiatives and decision-making processes. If you are a dedicated and driven individual with a strong commitment to Enterprise GIS data stewardship, analysis, and infrastructure, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Some of the day to day opportunities include: Gathering and analyzing geospatial data using GIS software to support OIT’s GIS initiatives and decision-making processes.Interpreting and communicating complex data sets and analytical results to various stakeholders, including government officials and the public.Collaborating with team members and other departments to identify data and mapping needs and develop effective maps, workflows, and visualizations.Managing enterprise geographic data and the services needed to provide access to that data, including developing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date GIS databases and metadata.Assist with the translation and implementation of the strategic plan to tactical activities.Work with OIT infrastructure, cloud, and security operations teams to maintain and support our Enterprise GIS technology stack and software. Ensuring the ongoing operations of the GIS infrastructure, which includes servers, databases, GIS services, and applications. Administering and monitoring infrastructure and software functions, and determining processes for improvement.Serving as lead worker to schedule and coordinate activities amongst several GIS team members.Providing technical documentation, support, and training to other staff members on GIS technologies and Standard Operating Procedures.Continuously evaluating and improving GIS processes and procedures to increase efficiency, maturity, and accuracy.Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to environmental protection, security, and data management.Representing the state in meetings and conferences related to GIS and environmental analysis.

All remote work must be performed in Colorado. While candidates from out of state will be considered for this role, the candidate selected for the position must relocate and reside in Colorado on the first day of their new position.
