About the position
Responsibilities
• Schedule appointments accurately and meet patient needs by determining the best scheduling solution.
• Verify patient coverage and eligibility, complete necessary paperwork, and assist with MyChart portal questions.
• Answer telephone calls in compliance with departmental procedures and quality metrics, determining the nature of the call and routing it appropriately.
• Document all outreach attempts and conversations clearly and comprehensively in the Electronic Health Record.
Requirements
• High school degree or equivalent related experience required.
• One year plus of customer service experience and proficiency in PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• One year plus of customer service experience in healthcare, including typing and scheduling application experience (EHR/EMR).
• Ability to convey information to customers in a warm, clear, and concise manner.
• Demonstrates positive customer service behaviors.
Nice-to-haves
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
