About the position The Clinical Behavioral Health Specialist is a remote position that plays a crucial role in providing behavioral health consultations to acute patients through a Telehealth platform. This role requires independent clinical decision-making and the ability to assess and intervene with a diverse patient population across various geographic regions. The specialist will conduct psychosocial assessments in emergency and inpatient settings, offering a full range of clinical social work services, including treatment recommendations and crisis intervention. Responsibilities Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients in emergency department and inpatient settings via telehealth. , Provide a full range of clinical social work consult services including treatment recommendations and risk assessments. , Perform crisis intervention and discharge planning recommendations. , Collaborate and build rapport with patients, staff, and other members of the Telehealth team. , Document patient interactions and assessments in an Electronic Health Record (EHR). , Ensure compliance with the Social Work Code of Ethics and relevant state mental health laws. Requirements Master's Degree in Social Work from a CSWE Accredited University. , Washington, Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon, New Mexico, or Texas Clinical Social Worker License upon hire. , 5 years of post-graduate experience in an Emergency Department, Inpatient, or Outpatient Behavioral Health setting. , Experience documenting in an Electronic Health Record (EPIC preferred). Nice-to-haves 1 year experience working with children or adolescents.
