As a Workflow & Closure Analytics Specialist you’ll be part of the newly formed Compliance & Remediation (C&R) team within Transmission & Distribution. You will be responsible for Compliance notification data reporting/tracking for poles identified as deteriorated within SCE’s approximately 1.4 million pole portfolios. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating processes to identify risks, recommending process improvements, performing data research and reporting on analytics to identify and resolve anomalies. A day in the life – Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright! • Responsible for the weekly queries, construction reporting, and tracking, data reconciliation, works in collaboration with the Project Management team, with the assigned Region/Grid analyst; providing visibility to pole release totals, installation totals, and past due poles. • Providing support in the review (Quality Control), date management and release of Transmission deteriorated pole work order packages to the Grid execution organizations once verification that the work is ready to proceed is complete. • Supporting workflow for Distribution Technical Design and Transmission Design by researching and resolving data issues. • Execute and maintain accurate data in Pole Tracker for both Transmission and Distribution / cleaning up Enterprise Systems and remove obstacles throughout the project’s lifecycle. • Extract and organize data utilizing advanced Excel functions (Pivots, VLookups,) for T&D analytics and interpretation, present solutions and recommendations. • Develops, and assists or makes presentations to senior management, department and division management on initiatives supporting T&D strategies and goals. • Ensures optimal resource allocation and completion of work. • Sorting through huge data sets to identify relationships between various data elements such as asset, geospatial, and operational data • Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned. Qualifications The essentials • Three (3) or more years of experience in maintaining operations, data analytics, project management support and/or planning processes. • Three (3) or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel performing the following functions: sorting data, filtering data, data validation, Vlookups, creating charts, graphs, and pivot tables. The preferred • Associates degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Business major. • Two (2) or more years’ experience working with ERP (SAP and Oracle). • One (1) or more years’ of experience using Access databases and basic queries. • Demonstrated experience working with SAS or Visual Analytics. • Demonstrated experience providing research and analysis, identifying and mitigating risks in processes, procedures and data retention systems. • Demonstrated experience developing PowerPoint presentations and communicating information to management and peers. • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, providing exceptional service to internal and external customers, and staying current with the latest technology. • Demonstrated strong skills in the areas of team building, interpersonal skills, communication, decision making, results delivery, ethics and working safely. You should know • The position’s work mode is remote . Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion.
