About the Role:
As a Sr. Principal Software Engineer – Identity, you will:
- Identify and introduce best practices in software engineering, architecture, and technical direction
- Collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions and architectures
- Provide expert guidance on object-oriented programming, functional programming, and Continuous Integration and Deployment
- Contribute to the development of Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) capabilities across The Walt Disney Company
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of related work experience in software engineering
- Familiarity with Java Virtual Machine (JVM) languages, cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), and big data technologies (Spark, Hive, Presto)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study
Desirable Skills:
- Expertise in open standards for identity management (OpenID, OpenID Connect, OAuth, SAML, LDAP)
- Familiarity with Scala programming language, functional programming, and infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices
