Staffing Clerk- Temporary (Remote)

About the position

Responsibilities
• Assigns a variety of patient care resources to patient care units throughout various campuses.
• Collaborates with nursing and unit-based leadership to ensure fluid movement of resources.
• Schedules and reassigns staff to match qualified personnel with current needs.
• Communicates regularly with unit-based leadership and staffing colleagues regarding resource needs.
• Schedules available colleagues to open shifts and enters accurate scheduling information into software.
• Generates reports to illustrate current resource assignments.
• Assists in orientation and training of new staffing clerks.
• Recommends changes in staffing policies to promote efficiency.
• Reports unresolved problems to Central Staffing Office leadership.
• Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships with colleagues.

Requirements
• Two or more years of staff scheduling experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize tasks.

Nice-to-haves
• Additional formal clerical and computer training.
• Experience with hospital healthcare scheduling.
