About the position
The Tax Associate (Seasonal, Business) role at Intuit involves providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, particularly focusing on business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. This position is integral to advancing Intuit’s mission of Powering Prosperity Around the World, allowing associates to shape the direction of TurboTax Live Business while working in a supportive and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.

• Provide tax advice and full-service business return preparation.
,
• Assist customers with product/software inquiries and tax calculations.
,
• File tax extensions and document customer interactions.
,
• Create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence.
,
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customers.

• Apply defined practices and company policies to troubleshoot customer issues.
,
• Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
Requirements
• 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season.

• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year.

• Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week throughout the tax season.

• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.

• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is preferred.

• Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.

• Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).

• Working knowledge of Circular 230.

• Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.

• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
