We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team at Soar Autism Center. As an OT, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters the growth and development of children with autism. Our center is committed to providing transformative, evidence-based services that cater to the unique needs of each child and family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement naturalistic occupational therapy for children aged 2-6 years, focusing on autism and developmental disorders
- Design and deliver interventions to improve gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding practices, and daily living activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including ABA, speech therapy, and psychology, to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Mentor and guide Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to integrate OT goals into their therapy
- Monitor client progress, update treatment plans, and communicate with team members and families
- Build strong relationships with families, setting goals, sharing progress, and providing coaching and support
Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with children with autism or related developmental disorders
- Strong understanding of early intervention and integrated care approaches
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting children with autism
