As a key member of our team, you’ll assist in various accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, payroll processing, and financial analysis. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to kickstart their accounting career and gain valuable experience in both public and governmental accounting environments.
Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records, ensuring timely and efficient payment.
- Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Quicken, ensuring seamless data management.
- Collaborate with team members on various accounting projects, including LIHTC compliance, to drive success and achieve goals.
- Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Stay updated on financial concepts and regulations relevant to governmental accounting, applying knowledge to drive business growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with relevant experience considered.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Quicken, with a plus for experience.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices, with a plus for experience.
- Understanding of payroll processing and related regulations, with a plus for experience.
